Data Deletion
You can have your personal data deleted from KLADDS at any time, free of charge. This page tells you exactly how to ask, what gets deleted, and how long it takes. It is written to be read by anyone, whether or not you are a KLADDS customer.
KLADDS is operated by Byggarn AB, Lund, Skåne, Sweden. All deletion requests go to hej@kladds.com.
1. If you connected a social account to KLADDS
This applies if you are an operator who authorised KLADDS to act on an Instagram or Facebook business account you own or manage.
- Disconnect the account in KLADDS. Open the Instagram settings screen, find the account in the connected accounts list, and disconnect it. This deletes the stored access token immediately and stops all automation on that account.
- Ask us to erase the history. Disconnecting stops processing but keeps the historical records. To erase those too, email hej@kladds.com from the address associated with the account, naming the account username, and ask for deletion.
- You can also revoke access from the platform side. On Instagram, go to Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove KLADDS. On Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites. Revoking there invalidates our token even if you cannot reach the KLADDS interface.
2. If you interacted with a business that uses KLADDS
This applies if you commented on a post, or exchanged direct messages with a business account, and that business runs its automation through KLADDS. You do not need a KLADDS account to make this request.
- To stop messages immediately, reply
STOPin the conversation. You may also useSTOPP,UNSUBSCRIBEorAVSLUTA. This marks you opted out at once and no further automated message is sent to you. ReplySTARTif you ever want to opt back in. - To have your data erased, email hej@kladds.com with the platform (for example Instagram), your username or handle on that platform, and the business account you interacted with. That is enough for us to find and remove your records.
An opt-out and a deletion are different things, and you are entitled to both. Replying STOP stops us contacting you but leaves the record in place; the email request removes the record.
3. What we delete
On a verified request we delete:
- the contact record, which is the platform-scoped user id, the public username, any tags or custom fields the operator applied, and the opt-out status;
- the stored message and activity history tied to that contact, including the comments that triggered an automation and the messages exchanged;
- the link-click records attributed to that contact;
- for a disconnected operator account, the stored access token, which is removed at the moment of disconnection.
4. What we may keep, and why
We keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and fulfilled, because we have to be able to show that we honoured it. We also keep anything we are legally required to retain, most commonly accounting records under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act. Neither is used for marketing, profiling, or any automation.
5. How long it takes
We confirm receipt by email and complete verified requests within 30 days, which is the limit set by Article 12(3) GDPR. In practice most are done far sooner. An opt-out via STOP takes effect immediately, not in 30 days.
6. Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you hold under the GDPR. You may also request access to your data, correction of it, a portable export of it, restriction of processing, or object to processing altogether. Use the same address, hej@kladds.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle it you may complain to your supervisory authority; in Sweden that is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Our full Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. The service-specific policy covering automated Instagram comment and message handling is served at api.kladds.com/privacy, alongside the matching deletion instructions for that service.
